How to supply CS2 items from Steam inventory safely

A safe supply flow matches an exact tradable asset, shows the payout before reservation and sends the item only to the verified buyer Trade URL.

Never share your Steam password, authenticator code, recovery code or session cookie. SkinOrders does not need them.

1. Make inventory visibility public

An inventory matcher can read only what Steam exposes publicly. You can keep profile comments and other profile details private while allowing the inventory to be inspected. Steam may take a short time to reflect a visibility change.

2. Save your Steam Trade URL

A Trade URL identifies where another account may initiate a Steam offer. It is not a password, but it should still be managed carefully. Open the Steam inventory trade-offer settings, copy the URL and save it only in the protected profile field.

3. Match the exact asset

Names that look similar may represent different markets. Confirm the exact market name, edition, exterior and StatTrak or Souvenir status. Float, pattern, stickers and charms can affect collector value even when they do not create a separate Steam market name.

4. Choose quantity before reservation

If you own several identical assets and the order needs several units, select the quantity you intend to send. A secure reservation should bind the exact asset IDs and prevent another transaction from claiming them at the same time.

5. Verify the recipient inside Steam

Open only the buyer Trade URL shown by the active reservation.
Compare the Steam recipient with the verified buyer reference.
Send only the reserved asset IDs.
Review every confirmation on the official Steam interface.
Do not follow replacement links sent through comments or private messages.

6. Follow the protected status

After the transfer is accepted, server-side evidence should move the trade into its displayed protection state. A pending payout is not yet withdrawable. If the recipient, item or status is wrong, open a dispute from that trade rather than sending another asset.

Why the workflow is strict

Steam transfers are external to the marketplace. Binding an exact asset, buyer and expiry reduces ambiguity and creates an audit trail, but the seller’s final review inside Steam remains essential.
