How SkinOrders works
SkinOrders coordinates funded demand from a buyer with exact CS2 inventory held by independent sellers.
- Sign in with Steam. Authentication verifies control of the account without asking SkinOrders for a Steam password or authenticator code.
- Add platform balance. Crypto checkout is handled by NOWPayments. The deposit credit, SkinOrders fee and total due are shown before payment.
- Create an exact request. Select the item, available variant, quantity, price and duration. The full request value must be available.
- Lock the budget. Publishing moves the necessary USD from available balance to locked request balance, preventing unfunded demand.
- Match seller inventory. A seller can check a public Steam inventory for exact matches and reserve an eligible asset.
- Complete the Steam transfer. The seller confirms the item and recipient directly inside Steam. SkinOrders records the transaction state.
- Protect and release payout. A verified transfer progresses through the displayed protection state before the seller’s payout becomes available.
Balances have separate jobs
Available funds can be used for new requests or eligible withdrawals. Locked funds back an open buyer request. Pending funds represent a completed supply still inside verification or protection. Separating these states makes customer liabilities visible and reduces accidental double spending.
Fees
SkinOrders currently shows no separate buy or sell fee on an item trade. Deposit and withdrawal fees depend on the account level and are displayed before confirmation. The payment provider or blockchain network may apply additional charges; the checkout or withdrawal quote must show the amount the user pays and receives.
What SkinOrders does not do
SkinOrders is not affiliated with Valve or Steam, does not guarantee an item’s future price and never needs a Steam password, authenticator code, wallet seed phrase or private key. External service availability and Steam rules remain outside SkinOrders’ control.
